S1 Meet Your Guitar
- Parts of an acoustic guitar and their practical purpose
- Correct sitting position, guitar placement, neck and pick hold
- Left-hand and right-hand positioning and the six strings
- String-number exercise: 6-5-4-3-2-1 and back, first open-string picking
- Home practice: 5-10 minutes of alternate open-string picking
S2 Tuning & Finger Control
- Tuning with a digital/app-based tuner — standard tuning E-A-D-G-B-E
- Pick grip, controlled downstrokes and alternate picking (down-up)
- Left-hand finger numbering 1-2-3-4 and basic chromatic finger exercise
- Developing clean, buzz-free notes
- Home practice: slow 1-2-3-4 finger exercise
S3 First Melody
- Review posture, tuning and finger positioning
- Playing individual fretted notes and simple single-string melodies
- Basic tablature as a practical tool
- Play a recognizable beginner melody/riff with rhythm and timing
- Home practice: complete first melody independently
